It offers a unique, quality experience. It selects the buzziest experiences and it helps readers navigate the tricksy world of TV and streaming.
2) Now go to page 3 of the Media Pack - celebrity focus. What does the page say that Heat offers readers?
They provide readers with conversation starters.
3) Now look at page 4 of the Heat Media Pack. What other content does Heat magazine offer its readers aside from celebrity news?
They give life hacks for food, fitness, wellbeing, travel and homes.
4) Look at page 5. What is Heat magazine's audience profile? Write all the key details of their audience here.

Media Language
1) How are the cover lines written to make the audience want to buy the magazine? Consider the interest/intrigue they create.
They all tell you a small part of the gossip/scandal to make the reader more intrigued in what the story is. This makes the reader with unanswered question and therefore makes them want to buy the magazine.
2) What are the connotations of the Heat colour scheme on this particular front cover?
The colours: pink, yellow and red connote enthusiasm as they are all vibrant colours.
3) How are images used to create interest in the magazine? Find three reasons for your answer. (E.g. paparazzi images or aspects of mise-en-scene such props, costume, make-up, body position, facial expression etc.)
The images are authentic and aren't edited. You can tell this because the photos are from the paparazzi. Also, some of the photos have celebrities with no make-up on. The celebrities also sometimes are caught wearing casual clothing.
4) What differences can you find between the use of design and typography between Tatler and Heat? List at least three differences and explain the effect on audiences.
Tatler uses the Sans Serif font whereas Heat uses Serif. Another difference is that Heat magazine uses a yellow font whereas Tatler uses white. Lastly, heat has a more bolder and thicker font than Tatler.

Celebrities are presented negatively as the magazine mainly talks about their scandals or gossip about them.
3) How are women represented on the cover of Heat? Think about both images and cover lines here.
They are portrayed as normal people.
4) How do Heat and Tatler represent social class? What different social classes can you find in the features and celebrities on the cover? (E.g. middle/upper class / working class)
Heat gossips about working class or middle class people whereas Tatler gossips about the upper class.
