LANGUAGE:
The main thing is 3 people with some sort of guns which we could probably infer that they have the purpose to attack ghosts. We know this from the title "Ghost Busters" with the image in the back most likely symbolising "No ghosts allowed". The 3 men look like they are well geared up and ready to attack the ghosts with their special gun. We can also see from the heading, "They're here to save the world", Indicating how the ghosts are a threat to society and it's the ghostbusters (the 3 men) job to save the world.
AUDIENCE:
The audience is mostly targeted to a male audience as it's based on Science fiction and is mainly about fighting ghosts. The 3 main characters are also all men proving how the audience will predominantly be based for male viewers. Furthermore, looking at the gloomy and night background, we can tell that this film is also targeted to people who enjoy horror.
INDUSTRY:
The film was produced by Colombia Pictures and created by Harold Ramis. This would've appealed to the audience then as Harold Ramis had previously created a film called "Caddyshack". Caddyshack became a big hit with it's extravagant comedy, which gives ghostbusters a good first impression.
REPRESENTATION:
The 3 men seem to be looking about them in shock and disgust revealing to us that the ghosts are terrifying even to the ghostbusters. From the gloomy night with unusual green lighting atmosphere, we can tell that the film will be based on mischief and darkness, the green clouds are also unrealistic foreboding that there is some supernatural entity lurking. It may also foreshadow that the ghosts can only appear at night, this can be backed up because we often assume ghosts only appear during the night.
