1) What is the preferred reading of a media text?
It is what the producers want the audience to think.           

2) What is the oppositional reading of a media text?
It is when the audience thinks of the opposite way of what the producers want you to view the media as.

They first introduce who their targeted audience is- the upper class. 2) Now go to page 4 of the Media Pack. Focus on the print magazine (NOT tatler.com - the website).
